Neonatus/Neotokyo, 2020
Generated Images, Digital PrintNeonatus/Neotokyo is a portrayal of death and birth with the newborn conscious at the beginning of the world which is similar to the binary code “0 1” in the computer that shapes its command.
The rebirth of Tokyohot restaurant at Charoenkrung43 was simulated by the AI that was created to be a newborn conscious virgin from every memory and knowledge and let him study the presence of Kanom Tokyo.
We use the GAN(Generative adversarial network) that was used to create face recognition. But in this project, it was taught to remember and create Kanom Tokyo. This project also explored how newborn consciousness perceives death and birth as well as the struggle of the restaurant itself that was the business of artists who struggle to make a living.
